if you've enjoyed a meal at blackbird you most likely remember our delicious food and warm hospitality, but did you know we're just as enthusiastic about our cocktails as we are about our cuisine?

join blackbird bar manager derek mercer for a rare peek into our beverage program. with just eight seats available per class, derek will give guests a hands-on opportunity to create classic whiskey-based drinks using our fine selection of ingredients and bar tools.

focusing on stirred cocktails, guests will learn the fundamentals of making the perfect manhattan, old fashioned, and the sazerac, as well as a few riffs on the classics, using blackbird's selection of top-shelf spirits from makers like willet, heaven hill, woodford reserve and pierre ferrand.

while derek guides guests through cocktail theory and creation, blackbird chef ryan pfeiffer will round out the class with light bites from the kitchen.
